I'm sorry to say that this is probably not the appropriate group to approach for an answer, as it supports those with a chronic rather than acute blood cancer, where the median age at diagnosis is in the low 70s. I suspect, however, that you've misunderstood the nurses' comments and isn't chemical contamination that's the issue, but bacterial contamination, because following treatment, the girl is likely to be neutropenic (lacking sufficient white blood cells to avoid bacterial infections when eating foods that are likely to have bacterial contamination). Fruit should be okay to eat provided it is fresh, in good condition and thick skinned, with no cuts or bruising.
I'm not medically trained, so it is very important that you clarify the appropriate diet with the girl's medical team and how long she should remain on this diet. Her continued good health is critically dependent on this.
