We should all agree about how well the human body was created – but we need to help it maintain its complex functions. So when I was told that my maintenance drug Idelasilib’s side effects (Zydelig.) was probably causing diarrhoea I decided to accept this inconvenience against the good that the PI3K Inhibitor was doing.
However, the next thing I found out was that the Diarrhoea could be the cause of Hypokalemia – Low Potassium. Now Potassium is only 0.20% to 0.35% of your body mass and on average you should take in about 5 grams each day – which a healthy diet can provide. (And if you take in too much Potassium the kidney is the main organ that controls the balance of potassium by removing excess potassium.)
So what does our body need this second lightest metal for:-
•Muscles need potassium to contract.
•The heart muscle needs potassium to beat properly and regulate blood pressure.
•When potassium levels are low, you can become weak as cellular processes are impaired.
But I am not alone with this condition as hospital surveys have found one out of five people hospitalized have a low potassium level.
So a course of Potassium tablets and all is well – till the next complication !

Psalm 139 : 13 – 16
13. For you produced my kidneys, YOU kept me screened off in my mother’s womb. 14. I praise you because in an awe-inspiring way I am wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful, I know this very well. 15. My bones were not hidden from you when I was made in secret, when I was woven in the depths of the earth. 16 .Your eyes even saw me as an embryo all its parts were written in your book regarding the days when they were formed before any of them existed.
