Dave Hawkes, a postdoctoral researcher in the Peptide Neurobiology group at the Florey Institute of Neurosciences and Mental Health in Melbourne Australia, is a virologist who designs and builds new and innovative viral tools. In his article below, he explains how we can use viruses to help us fight diseases (as in the CAR-T therapy developed at the University of Pennsylvania ) and as probes to study how our brain works:
