I'm looking for resources re: when/if to stop FCR, what information should the patient discuss with the medical provider? Thank you!

It usually depends on the protocol for treatment, usually FCR is 6 rounds. They will often do a CTscan after 4 rounds and assess the blood results. Some major CLL clinics may also request a minimal residual disease MRD test on bone marrow, or wait 3 months post treatment and run the MRD of the blood.
MRDs tend to be done more at major centres involved in clinical trials, rather than a clinic.
Your doctor, should give you a run down of what you can expect...
Here is an interesting paper from France about FCR dose intensity in CLL. haematologica.org/content/9...
Excellent paper on MRD...
Found these papers useful especially as I had lower doses of the 'F' in FCR during 2 cycles due to zero neuts.
Thanks.
great, thanks; my husband had 2 rounds and will meet with his doctor next week to talk about next steps
