Hi getting tested for COPD after ct scan showed ground glass shadowing , scarring and nodules in both outer fields of lungs.
Hi buzzybab
I had a similar scare with my 5th CT Scan and below was the response from my doc. So I believe the radiologists are pointing out every negative thing, and as your CLL improves the scan gets boring so they up the ante with finding new problems:

No need to worry about the bibasilar atelectasis. The enlarged spleen would certainly increase the likelihood of that occurring, but it can also be seen in normal, healthy individuals. We typically use less the 50% of our lung capacity, and therefore rarely full expand our lungs over the course of a normal day. The dependency of it just supports this idea as it is related to gravity.
Regarding the tree-in-bud and ground glass opacities, they are not too uncommon in CLL patients and often just resolve over time. In someone without symptoms, I would not pursue them any further. These findings should in no way impact upon your travel or work schedules. I hope all else is well. Rick Furman"
I hope this helps you. Len
