The title sums up the question. I have not had measles nor the vaccine during my life so are there any options, other than avoidance, at this stage?

You have likely had an MMR vaccination at some point...
No.....apparently it was not given prior to 1969 and I know I didnt have it after then. I still have the vaccination booklet from when young.
I caught mumps in 1967 and rubella not long after but never caught measles.
In Canada, people born prior to the shots (1970) are considered to have aquired immunity. I had an MMR and a number of other shots at CLL diagnosis...never a problem.
Just discovered a piece of paper in my passport that says I had sarampion y rubiola vaccine back in 2006 while working in Latin America. I guess there must have been an outbreak of measles in the area where we were working.....I've lost track of the number of times a company doctor has come at me with a loaded syringe.
