Hospital Service Experience for Bilirary Atresia, Leed, Uk

Our daughter will have another operation to attempt to try and clear her Jaundice next week. She had a Kasia on Dec' 14th (born 14/10/20). They will give her a DISDA scan tomorrow (17/02/20) and hopefully try and establish the location of the problem that is still preventing her Jaundice from clearing. If this second operation is unsuccessful then a liver transplant seems inevitbale as the end result. If this happends then we may move back to the Uk from Bangkok, where we currenlty live. I wondered if anyone has had any direct, personal experience with Leeds hospitals UK, particularly with having a child undergo a Liver transplant there. We are unsure if we could be compatable as a living donor (me and my wife have type "A" blood and our daughter is type "B", so we may need to go on a wating list. Our dilema is which country has the shortest donor queue? Is there a way to find out the length of the UKs donor waiting list? Our doctor here in bangkok I suppose would just tell us but it would be good to compare. Does anyone know if we could be compatable having Type A blood and our daughtr Type B blood. Any information would be gratefully received. Thanks, Dominic

Hello, I am sorry for all the uncertainty you are going through just now. Your doctor will be best placed to advise you on waiting lists. I can assure you that Leeds is a fantastic centre with a wonderful transplant team and your daughter would be in safe hands there. Warmest regards, Kate
