Bisoprolol side effects

I've recently been put on this beta blocker, and I don't know if it's psychological, but I now get a bit breathless when I'm walking at a fast pace, just like the symptoms which I had and my consultant suggested an angiogram which proved ok. Should I be worried about this? I'm seeing him again on Thursday, and I'll mention it,

iv ad aortic valve replacement and now on bisopralol but no new side effects wot other treatment has been sugested???

I have atrial tachycardia and a very irreguar heartbeat. I take bisoprol, 1.25mg 3 x day, that works best for me, (started with 1 dose once a day). Don't think you will get rid of all symptoms of breathlessness, just hope to minimise it to an acceptable level....bit of 'suck it and see' and increase dose if necessary. Beta blockers block adrenalin (fight and flight hormone) so slow the heartrate....that is my understanding??

Don't they ust! My pulse rate was 43 this morning. Not happy with that and seeing my consultant tomorow.

HAVE TAKEN THEM FOR YEARS AND always been breathless too,

but,i was never told anything but that they were for my heart!

I see a Cardiologist tomorrow,and,now I know what is causing my breathlessness!]

I have taken myself off statins!

I feel angry that I have suffered so much!

and no one ever told me about the side-effects of statins!

tomorrow I hope the Cardiolgist is a man who can talk to me at a normal level I wont be patronised!

I also take bisporol and always breathless even walkin slow pace. Wasn't aware was any thing to do with bisoprol myself.

I have been on Bisoprolol since December and have experienced MANY side effect ...

Achy joints

Can't walk very far at all

Out of breath for no reason

Dizzy spells

Very tired all the time

Weight gain

rapid heart rate causing regular episodes of cold sweats on my scalp , face and neck that literally drips from me and is very uncomfortable .

constant wheezy chest , and coughing up a very discolored phlegm

Very bad taste in my mouth constantly

Thrush in my mouth ....

I said there where a lot , But on the positive side today I have seen a specialist who will investigate and hopefully sort this for me very soon ..... Fingers crossed ...
