I really don't know the answer to this, but I have had to take my mother-in-law for two echocardiograms lately as she has a problem with one of her heart valves.

I think a bubble test is a specialised echocardiogram where a small bubble of saline is injected into a vein and then they can track it as it goes through the heart and they can look at the structure of the heart.

She didn't find her echocardiograms painful, but it was uncomfortable for her lying with her arm up, as she is 84.

thanks for that, the doctor said they would have to do this as they think I may have a hole in my heart.

I am fed with pain so this is a relief !! Mags
