leg pains

I’ve taken Atorvastatin for over 6 years, just recently I have had really sore aching legs. I have put it down to exercise and walking but I’m starting to doubt this. Anyone else develop leg pains due to statins after years of no issues?

Leg pain, where in the leg?

Upper leg, side or back of the leg?

Below the knee again side or back of the knee?

Foot, standing or walking?

When you are in bed do both legs have pain?

In my case 10 years ago my total cholesterol came down to 2.8, I had a lot of pain therefore I stopped station as I was working.

This year I am trying 5 mg, could handle this but only a small drop in cholesterol last month's blood test, therefore now I am on 10 mg and blood test after three months.

NHS protocol measure different parameter, there has been a lot of research on triglyceride

and some GP s are looking at all lipid numbers.

What are your cholesterol numbers?

Not what you're looking for?
