these symptoms were like I had prior to going to hospital but without the pain in my chest. I also feel totally wiped out.do you think this could be a further problem connected with heart attacks etc.the angio has been delayed because the hospital has huge waiting lists. Whilst in hospital on the cardiac ward there were 8 of us all waiting to find out what was happening to them.

Following a week in hospital with chest pain, ECG, Echo and waiting for an Angiogram my hand has ached ,dull ache in my neck and lightheaded
This definitely sounds like a slight heart attack or a severe warning. Don't let them send you out of hospital until you have the angiogram as they often try to do. I was rushed in one day, was poorly until the middle of the night but everything calmed down about 6 in the morning when I was supposed to have the angiogram later that morning and the sister sent me home as they were short of beds. It was eventually done in another emergency which could have been averted. My situation is a little complicated by having rheumatic fever as a teenager.
Don't know where you live, but try and find a hospital with a 'fast access clinic'. Liverpool Heart and Chest (LHCH) is one of these in the country. The idea of these hospitals is that once you're in, they will assess and treat fully before letting you out.
I've been fortunate in having access to not only LHCH but also Sheffield NG over the last 14 months, both of these treating me speedily and professionally.
Good luck
Tony
Thank you, I'm out of hospital but feel totally wiped out doing nothing, shoulder and arm is uncomfy(dull ache) and chest doesn't actually hurt but just isn't right. Hard to explain and not sure if doc will take it seriously.
Not sure how long it will take before I'm called in for the promised angio.
May be I'm worrying over nothing . Will wait and see . At least with this site I feel there are others who have experienced similar things and don't feel you are fussing over nothing.
Sorry for the moan.".............Jane

Hello,
Would it be possible to give an update. I am waiting see a specialist after stress test!, looking for questions to ask.
prior to my having a heart attack, I visited the doctor as I had a tightness in my chest, not pain, was sent for a stress test which they said was ok. Still felt strange the following week and very weary, with the tightness in my chest still present. Had a massive heart attack the following week.
Women DO NOT present with the same symptoms of pain for heart problems.
Go RIGHT NOW TO THE HOSPITAL.

Hello,
I seem to have recovered from whatever was happening to me . I had an angiogram which didn't pick anything up, and stress test? On a treadmill thing but I lasted only 2 minutes and had to stop as I was on the point of passing out , buzzing ears and eyesight going black. I haven't been back but have got a spray which I have used on various occasions. Recently I have beengetting an ache at the right side of my neck just above the collar bone very like I had before all the fuss with the hospital( on the left that time) but I shall see if it developers into anything .good luck with your test . Please post how you get on. Jane.
