Hello,

I am afraid you need ask a medically qualified person to answer your question. Goole may give you basic answers.

Have a look for LUNG community in HU.

According to my Oxford dictionary it is partial or full collapse of a lung. It is usually unilateral and had many potential causes. My friend says both of his were collapsed whilst he was on a heart lung machine during open heart surgery.
