Been on Atorvastatin 2014-2018 this year taking it has been hit and miss Been off it few months and trying to follow lowering cholesterol diet with Soya, plant based, low fat products. Had no checks from Dr.s just given repeat prescriptions and saw Pharmacist who told me it's ok to take Statins every other day? As I've been off Statins a while now should I just take up where I left off? It takes weeks to get a Dr.s appointment at my GP surgery !!

Tbh. The best advise is to go back to your GP. However, your pharmacist is fully qualified, familiar with your medication history and more than capable of assessing your situation, so taking his advice is perfectly sound and a sensible way forward.

All the best.
