I asked for blood test yesterday when I went to doctors but they said it's to early an that I should take the meds an they will do a blood test in 3 months.

I'm not happy taking them if I'm honest. I've read up about them. Just not sure what to do now. They can't just give you things with a blood test first surly.

I did request blood test an that would put my mind at rest but I got buffed of by them saying no an it's to early. They will do it in 3 months. GP'so are pathetic sometimes.

Please do ask for blood test before taking your medication, in UK the local chemist can do both blood glucose and cholesterol for free or at the cost of £10.00. After the chemist test you can go back to your GP/doctor and ask for a full blood test and risk analysis before agreeing on medication. Stress can cause a lot of health problems.

Hi sandy.

I will try that route. Thanks

When you are seeking advice on this forum you must provide more information. Your age, height, weight, gender, and results from your latest blood test especially triglycerides and LDL-C, and HDL-C.

In general statins cause muscle deterioration. Whether you need a statin or whether your statin is causing your leg pain cannot be assessed without additional information.

Leg pain may also be caused by the pinching of your sciatic nerve near your lower spine. This is usually caused by excess body weight.

Please provide more information.
