Hi

I just came back from my cardiologist visit, I see her casue I was suffering from Atrial Fibrillation, was on Concor 2.5 and Aspirin 100 mg as well, I stopped those and focused on healthy diet but was taken off that diet for the last month but will go back to it again which might effected my cholesterol level , dont know about that

My doc agreed on stopping Concor and Apsirin

I dont get Afib anymore due to healthy diet, my heart rate is excellent most of the times in the 60s , I take magnisium 400 mg and potassium 45 mg daily which help a lot.

But my doc concern was my cholesterol level as she says is elevated here are the numbers

Tri 0.6

HDL 1.68

LDL 4.24

Total 60. mmol/L (range 3.6-5.2)

She prescribed me CRESTOR 5mg daily for 3 months, I have a past experience with cholesterol meds, after 1 month time they start to give me needle pin sensation throughout my body so I stop them when that happens, but she told me today to try this as the one I used before was Zocor with bad reviews

I really like to stay on healthy diet changes and see laters, or follow this med and see from there what changes happens this time, past experience with meds takes down my cholesterol levels to good range

Thanks

I would not put too much emphasis on the LDL value in your lipid panel. Your triglycerides are very low (excellent) and your HDL is in the optimal range. HDL helps the body dispose of LDL.

LDL-C is an indirect measure of LDL cholesterol volume or mass which is not definitively a cause of material plaque accumulation.

You should test for LDL-P (particle number) which more current research says is of greater relevance than LDL-C.

You can get this information from the NMR Lipoprofile test which typically costs about $100 USD at a private lab.

In order for your diet and lifestyle factors to make a positive influence on your health they must be permanent. On again, off again diet strategies are not healthy.

A plant-based, whole-foods, diet, low in sugars, processed foods, and refined carbohydrates, rich in vegetables, legumes, fruits and nuts, and cold-water fish are best for your body. Grass-fed, pasture-raised livestock products are also acceptable in moderation.

Good luck.

Good to hear that, I will focus on fixing my diet again , that I know how to work out , sugar was way to big now will be eliminated in a direct form and see how things improve , my tri is low maybe due to eating healthy walnuts , not sure tho used to be .08 now reduced

Thanks and this time hope I bring LDL numbers down or improve them

I will make a garlic ginger apple cider lemon honey juice drink and will consume daily tablespoon and see in 3 months the result
