Hi I'm new on here after a routine blood test after having high blood pressure readings ( been on a course of steroids for asthma so think that was the course but go back the Drs next week so will see) anyway the bloods showed I have a cholesterol level of 9. Got a phone call from the gp today to tell me she had referred me to the lipid clinic at the local hospital, my mum and brothers have high cholesterol but where given medication, I've been given no medication just hospital.. I'm wondering why this is and what to expect when I get there. Thanks
