I've just found this on a medical report my GP has given to me. Can anyone tell me if 3.9% means I am at low risk or a high risk.
QRISK2 CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE 10 YR RI... - Cholesterol Support
QRISK2 CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE 10 YR RISK SCORE 3.9% Can anyone tell me if this is a low or high risk?
There is no simple explanation because of many factors that are involved in qrisk calculation. The algorithm used is complicated on the calculator.
1. Have a look at this report:
2. Please your GP to do a calculation in front of you and explain the results and then ask to vary some input to see if there is any change in a answer!
You may need a life style change, food intake control or regular exercise or no action necessary.
Thank you for your help. I've looked already at that report and I think I have found my answer. So many thanks x

There are 16 input required.
Did a quick check to get an explanation:
An example of few inputs and my result. Your results:
Your risk of having a heart attack or stroke within the next 10 years is: 3.5%
In other words, in a crowd of 100 people with the same risk factors as you, 4 are likely to have a heart attack or stroke within the next 10 years.
Thanks very much. I'm a lot less concerned now
