Please see your Doctor today it is important, we can't diagnose ourselves or get someone to take you to A&E as soon as possible. do it Now

I would probably phone for an ambulance if you are still feeling like this

Please let us know how you get on, good luck

If your iron is so low you are feinting I think you should go back to your Doctor as you may be better on iron injections if they still give them. Do you have low blood pressure also?

My husband had a severe iron deficiency some years ago and went on iron tablets for several months - his blood count was 4 when is should be 12!! He is now fully recovered and only takes the tablets when he feels tired and rundown. He recently had shingles and I saw he was looking "peaky" so he went back on them and now feels fully recovered. I agree that your health problems will have drained your body of essential vitamins and minerals and would suggest you take a full supplement of v and m - I do daily - to help the body store up the loss. The only vitamin you cannot store in the body is vitamin C and this should be taken daily. Also look at your diet and bump up the fruit and vegetables, also, (and I know this goes against all advice from the Dr) increase the amount of red meat particularly try to have liver once a week (all this came from my husband's Dr by the way) and dark green vegetables, spinach, broccoli, chard, dark cabbage, etc. To keep the iron levels up as well, cut down, or even out, coffee and tea. Drink Green Tea instead (coffee and tea leeches out the iron and expels it from the body). Hope all this helps you a bit.
