It's that time of the year ....

Hi all,

Hope everyone is doing OK. Just back from Jersey. and have seen some lovely autumnal colours, and there are plenty here too in our back yard ....

It's getting colder, and predictably, the newly fixed heating doesn't work (now have a large supply of hot water bottles!!), and we've just had our first autumn mist and fog. I don't know why, but I love mist ..... I suppose it's just the way it hugs the landscape! I also quite like making our nest cosy.

Getting ready for the annual remembrance next month. So many people gave their lives so we can enjoy the world in peace, I for one always like to pause in November.

But that reminds me of the one thing I hate about this otherwise wonderful season.

Yep, the one coming up on the 31st......

It drives me mad. I'm sure I need say no more.

If it does you too, do let us know, and remember that there are lots of us who will agree with you entirely .....

Suggestions for cosy suppers welcome by the way! Not all Halloween is bad.....
