Ever had one of those days when you're feeling really low and something unexpected happens to change your mood or even your whole day? Perhaps a song on the radio, unexpected contact from a long lost friend, genuine compliments from a loved one, a kind deed from a stranger ..... Do you pay attention to these little oases in the deserts of your life? Do you allow yourself to stop and smell the roses (figuratively speaking)? It seems that all too often we can allow these precious little moments to pass by without really relishing them. And we're soon overrun by the cares and concerns of our lives. I'm not sure what you think of gratitude journals, but perhaps thinking about something to be grateful for could affect how you feel today? So what are you thankful for at this moment?
I'll set the ball rolling. Today I am thankful for the young lady who offered me a seat on a packed train.

Yes, I am familiar with days like that! I find the more you become aware of being ‘present’ in every day activities, the more acutely our senses are aroused & allow us to appreciate even the smallest of actions. Today, I feel grateful for the sun shining & know that gratitude for the small things is what makes each day special.
i can recall one time a girl which i found attractive greeted me with her hand waving as if 'hello' ; i thiught it was a nice move cause i never talk to girls i find attractive cuz i think i have a hypertrophic scar and ( its not old) , and i feel like ugly sometimes as if girls wouldnt find me attractive .
