Hello everyone and welcome back to What's New Wednesday where we check in with each other. You are invited to talk about how things have been or post about something interesting in the last week, to get us all chatting, get to know each other and offer mutual support.
This week I’ve been thinking about tea…… how much is consumed around the world. Here in the UK, apparently we consume about 165 million cups of tea and 70 million coffees per day. How about we take a vote to find out which is more popular here in our community? Tea? Coffee? Tell us what you drink. I’ll start by saying for me it’s tea (herbal infusion actually). What is your daily drink?

Hi Dola! 🙋 I'm also an herbal tea drinker. Espresso was my go-to for a long time, then I'd drink either chai tea or matcha latte. Now I've slowed it down a bit and enjoy a nice warm cup of decaffeinated tea every afternoon. I'm into a honey turmeric blend right now and it's soo good.
Hello, I'm from the US and I've just discovered tea with milk, lol. I can buy Yorkshire tea over here, I've also had PG tips. Do you have a favorite? Also, any secrets for keeping your teeth clean. I went to my dentist for my normal cleaning and she remarked on my stains, asked me if I'd been drinking black tea. She said it's worse than red wine or coffee.
Hi, you just discovered tea??? Well, apparently Yorkshire tea is the most popular here in the UK followed by PG tips. So, sounds like you've got great teaste! I like Lemon and ginger so no probs with stained teeth but I hear bicarbonate of soda is helpful for whitening those gnashers after much consumption of the favourite English beverage.
I'm from the US. My favorite tea is Earl Grey. I also like to concoct my own blends of tea for instance I'll combine a Darjeeling with Lady Grey. You can achieve some interesting combinations. I always use loose tea except when I'm using a herbal tea like chamomile . When I was little we added milk to our tea and called it silver tea. We had lots of tea parties with peanut butter sandwiches and cookies. An American tea. I drink my tea very hot and plain, no milk or sugar. Pam
Wow, that sounds really exotic concocting your own blends! I've also developed a newfound love for chamomile, rather delicate and calming. I like the sound of an American tea, hmm.
