Hi pushpee. Stay away from lasers. Or at least make sure the one who gives you laser is highly trained on it. Laser damage leaves irreversible marks and trauma.

Hello. While I have had similar bad experiences with lasers to MTTA, I wouldn't write them off totally - I have had both good and bad experience with lasers. Previously it helped me with my deep acne scars, but after my doctor botched a filler procedure and tried to remove the fillers with further CO2 lasers, he seemed to be unaware of the heat that was generated and burnt holes in my face that are surrounded by pigmented wounds.

What might be useful is a serum called celacin to promote skin regrowth. Also I've had red light therapy to treat the burnt areas, and the burnt tissue is very very very slowly growing back. After talking to your doctor about doing mild lasers to start with perhaps, you might also want to ask for both red light led therapy. That is very non-invasive and just has you lying under an extremely bright light, with goggles on to dim the brightness somewhat. You could also buy an LED light mask to use at home - while not as powerful as those in clinics, they can be used at your convenience and usually come with different light settings. Red light therapy has apparently been extensively researched to help with collagen and regrowth, and green lights (less extensively researched) may help with pigmentation from the wounds. I have a red light mask which I am using at home now, and may start experimenting with the green light function too.

Hello Pushpee, welcome to the the Changing Faces community! Thank you for your post, it's good to see that you've had some replies. Have these helped with your decision about laser treatment?

Hi Pushpee, I have had 10 sessions of laser, for burn scars, it has helped with tightness around my neck and also between my thumb and finger which I can nearly fully extend, also helped tremendously with flattening my facial scars and the redness. I have both Pulse Dye and CO2 Laser
