I have been taking them for a couple of years now, no obvious side effects, but am wondering if they could be causing muscle aches. I am in early 70s so could be just my age, but I would like to try anyway

Statins block an enzyme the liver needs to make cholesterol. This causes the liver to remove cholesterol from the blood. While statins are highly effective and safe for most people, they have been linked to muscle pain, digestive problems and mental fuzziness in some people. Rarely, they may cause liver damage.May 27, 2023
