Evening all, I get pip just now as I have asthma which affects me quite a lot, I just missed the high amount, but I've still to tell them I've been diagnosed with autism, just incase they make me go through the whole process again or worse ,I've heard people have lost the benefit too, any advice will be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I get pip but have concerns
Hi magic, good to see you. I would try and see if Citizens Advice Bureau could offer any advice. I’ve no experience of PIP so don’t know what they might expect.
Wishing you well. Xxx
Hi magic1309, Like sassy59 I can't offer much advice on this for the same reason, and also absolutely unsure what effect the pandemic has had on those people who are awaiting assessment.
I definitely agree that it would be a good idea to seek help from CAB (citizens' advice bureau), and that's probably best accessed by first visiting its website at the moment. You'll find it at: citizensadvice.org.uk
There's also a good and easy to understand section on PIP and all benefits at the government website: gov.uk
Search under the general heading of benefits.
Maybe another of our members could assist you, but the one thing I would say is to read as much background information about claiming as you can, so that you are ready with your questions when you are eventually re-assessed. I hope you won't have to go through the whole process again, or find yourself struggling to reinstate what you've already been granted. Take care and do come back and let us know how it all goes.
