Some thoughts for the weekend

Hi everyone,

As you know I usually post a few words on Friday, just to have a catch up before the weekend, but I ran out of time this morning and now find myself almost into Saturday! Where do the days go? I seem to be doing less and less with mine.

How have you all been getting on over the past week? We seem to be moving on a bit with regard to recovery from the worst of the pandemic, though I don't know about you, but I'm not very relaxed about things. It's a sort of half life at best. Wouldn't it be lovely to have something really good to look forward to, that was a half certainty?

Did anyone else have holidays or outings planned for this summer that you've had to cancel?

I feel incredibly lucky that I managed to get 75% of my deposit back for mine, after a bit of negotiation, having been told initially that it was non-refundable. Hope that if anyone else was in a similar situation, they managed to to get refunds.

I've had lots of long phone conversations this week, with friends and family. I remember at the beginning of the crisis wondering what we'd find to talk about whilst confined so much to home, but incredibly there always seems to be something, no matter how mundane, to chat about.

I know the weather's taken a turn for the worse for a couple of days now, but I'm yet again envious of those of you who can get out into their gardens. They must be looking really good right now in this lushest part of early summer. But at least I can get out again now and again and find some green space.

I'll finish off by adding a pic of my daughter's new kitten, Chelsea. I'm getting regular updates on progress, as the little scrap has just joined two other cats in the household but is holding her own well apparently. Looking forward to meeting her as soon as I can!

Take care everyone, and enjoy your weekend in any way that you can.

Thanks Lynd. The kitty is adorable isn't she. (Glad she's not mine though. Kittenish antics can be very annoying 😀) Take care!🙏

Gorgeous cat!!!we got some new garden furniture and I go back to work soon if I am laid sunbathing in the rain I'll sit on it anyway😂😂😁

Hi Picklepickle, I recall your saying you were due to go back to work soon. Well by hook or by crook, you should enjoy your new garden furniture, but it'll be much nicer if you don't have to have your wellies on! 😎

Gorgeous kitten, so sweet. We’ve been in touch with family and my sister rang yesterday for a chat. Thirty minutes later we said “goodbye.” Lol.

Wishing you a great weekend where you can get out and enjoy some fresh air and green space.

Stay safe everyone, we’re not out of the woods yet. Xxxx🌈😘
