A catchup for the weekend

Hi everyone,

Well today really is the bank holiday, despite my trying to make it last Monday! I dread to think what other faux pas I'm going to make with dates. I really can't keep tabs on the calendar at all. For once I'm quite grateful for bills and statements coming in as it gives me some sense of where we are with time.

So, another week in lockdown has passed by, and for me, like the weather, it was changeable. Several days passed pleasantly and then there were a couple which seemed to turn a shade darker and I had to buck myself up and just get on with it.

On a sad note, some of you will know member Jennymary, who reported on the Positive Wellbeing In Isolation group that her mum had died several days ago. Heartfelt commiserations to her, in her sad loss.

In most other forums I'd probably be asking what everyone has done with their week, but I know that for many of our members of the Care Community, one day can be much like another with all the busy-ness of looking after someone else and the frustrations that can bring.

It was cheering to hear from MikeMan58 that a special bed was being delivered for his mum who he cares for. It's good to know that somewhere in the background there is still everyday help being provided for those people who need it.

I hope you are all still getting through OK and that you'll manage a little bit of time for yourselves over the weekend. Take care everyone, and please continue to stay safe. 🙏

It is a bit difficult trying to remain upbeat at times. I also sometimes struggle. We will get through but there will be the occasional dark day. I do wish you well Callendersgal.

Deepest sympathies to dear JennyMary on the sad loss of her mum. Such a difficult time for her.

Enjoy the weekend everyone. Xxxx

My condolences to Jennymary.

My thought are with everyone facing dark days in these strange times.

I think it is very hard to stay chirpy every day. We are missing people and freedom.

Happy to report that the essential services that Jim needs have been attended to at home so I can't complain on that score. Also, in our town we have had a lot of volunteers so we have been very lucky.

The only thing annoying me now is the no show of our prime minister. Who the heck is running our country?

I’m pleased Jim is receiving the essential services at home. Good news.

I think Boris seems to be keeping a low profile. Maybe he doesn’t want to answer questions. Xxxx
