This morning's quotation is short and to the point. It's about being true to who you are, and has been attributed to Oscar Wilde, though some dispute it was him. Quite honestly I can imagine him having said this though, and if it wasn't him, it was someone equally witty but to the point!
"Be yourself. Everyone else is taken."
It's true. So many people try to be something which is really a facsimile of someone else. Quite often someone they admire. Which is understandable but doesn't work well. Imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery, but it always ends up showing as imitation. Far better to know yourself thoroughly, and at your core, be true to who and what you are.
Whoever said it got it right Callendersgal. I could imagine Oscar Wilde saying that too though. I prefer to be me as everyone knows where they stand. Lol.
