Quotation for Tuesday 16th June 2020

Hi everyone,

I watched open-mouthed at the number of people who were happy wait in long queues to return to shopping yesterday. Wild horses couldn't have made me do that!

But for some people 'retail therapy' is a really important part of their lives. I'm not averse to doing it myself under better circumstances.

I don't think the author of today's quotation was thinking of anything as remotely mundane as shopping when he said this, but, in fact, if you love shopping and it's important to you, and it keeps you happy, why not? So long as you socially distance, of course!

"Let yourself be drawn by the stronger pull of that which you truly love" - Rumi -

I hope you all have a happy Tuesday!

A lovely quote Callendersgal. Thank you. The photo made me think of footprints in the sand.

Nothing will drag me to such busy shops. I’m taking my first tentative steps to Sainsbury’s in Thursday evening with our daughter. Hope its nice and quiet.

Enjoy your day. Xxxx🌈🌈💖😘

we are just about to go to a gem of a place we have found. The Real Food Garden near Bodmin. They grow their own organic veg when in season and sell a small selection of other organic foods and the local bakers bread. What makes it relevant to Sassy59's post is that you don't have huge crowds - we have been on our own so far when we have been there. Only one person in the shop at any time. They do veg boxes in the summer an d we only found them because of covid and a post on the village facebook page. When the thunder stops we shall go.The good news is that we definiely have 5 fish in the pond. We were afraid they may have gone down the heron over winter but they are gradually reappearing. One more sighting and they have all survived the winter. Don't have much to say for themselves I must say

That sounds ideal Freda and I hope you have a wonderful time. No crowds....just what’s needed.

Hurrah for the fish not being got at by the heron. Long may they survive. Xxx

Sounds perfect FredaE and I'm also glad your fish seem to have survived both winter and the herons! 🐟🐟🐟

Thanks sassy59. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you for your first supermarket outing. I'm building myself to go to our local Poundland next, on my own. It's one of the things I've missed in lockdown. 101 assorted bits and pieces I didn't even know I needed or worse, just wanted. 🙄 So over the next couple of days, that's my aim! Take care and I hope you are enjoying your day too.... xxxx☀️😎🌈🙏

Wild horses wouldn’t get me near those long queues and crowded shops! I’ve got a shopping addiction which nearly ruined my life, so need to be extra careful!
