Today I really felt the need for some sage words of the sort I've so often read in Native American culture and this is what I found, which really appeals to me, and I hope will to you too. It's attributed to Crowfoot (c. 1830-1890), a chief of the Canadian Blackfoot tribe (a tribe native to the Northern Plains of the USA and Canada.)
"What is life? It is the flash of a firefly in the night. It is the breath of a buffalo in the wintertime. It is the little shadow that runs across the grass and loses itself in the sunset"
In other words, it's fleeting. We seldom appreciate its privilege until we begin to reach an age where there might be less of it left than that we have lived already. So today I'm going to try to remember to appreciate all the things that life sends. Not only the good, or just the bad, but the entire rollercoaster of this one time journey (as far as we know), that we take!
Have a good day today and please really experience whatever it sends. ๐
A very thought provoking quote today Callendersgal and Iโve been trying to enjoy every moment of life for sometime now as I know I have more years behind me than ahead. Lockdown has given me plenty of time to think about things and savour each day.
Iโm hoping my shopping delivery goes well today. The substitutions are funny at times. All part of lifeโs rich tapestry.
Good luck with your shopping delivery sassy59! I'm glad it's not just hubby who makes some really odd substitutions! ๐. Hope you enjoy your weekend! ๐๐ฆ๐xxx
