For me this has been one of the fastest passing weeks I can remember. I don't really know why time seems to be flashing by so fast. It appears to pass quickly anyway as you age, but I really can't comprehend where the last seven days have gone. For me, certainly not filled with worthy things, that's for sure.
And I think that secrets22 summed up nicely one of the reasons that time's definitely relative at the moment, in that half the time I don't know what day of the week it is! I find myself having to check and double check on the date, so that I remember to do whatever is needed to be done by a particular day.
On the subject of time, I realised with dismay that we are now hurtling towards the day of longest daylight in UK and that thereafter, even though imperceptibly at first, our daylight will decrease again. And we've been able to have so little benefit from the longer daylight hours of summer.
I have a feeling that next winter is actually going to be a lot tougher than this summer has been, as we go into voluntary 'lockdown' when the days get shorter and the cold creeps back in. We may have to be extra strong then.
But let's hope that we will be allowed a few freedoms long before then so that we can all do some of the simpler things we usually get to enjoy during the summer.
Although I don't have the pleasure of my own garden, I hope that all of you with gardens of your own are enjoying them as often as you can. It's a great consolation to have a lovely area of personal green space to retreat to.
Hope you all enjoy today and have a pleasant weekend and that you are all continuing to stay safe.
The days and weeks really seem to be flying by at the moment. I’m trying to think of the winter months in a positive way as it’s a bit of a struggle at times. We’ll get through though I’m sure.
The days all blur into one but come Monday our daughter, son in law and two grandsons will be able to sit in our back garden. Yay! Our son, wife and granddaughter will be able to visit on a different day but yay! again.
I’ll try and persuade our youngest son to come round for an afternoon maybe too.
For me the last 5 months have flown by.I think the only thing ive achieved is doing my voluntary teaching earlier on in the year & going to follow up sessions, & started to learn spanish until the pandemic cancelled the class
Im learning how to do zoom (to use it when teaching ) & 8/6 starting a virtual 4 week german class
