Quotation for Tuesday 14th April 2020

Good morning everyone,

Todays quote is attributed to William Penn. Penn, a writer and member of the Society of Friends (Quakers), and famously founded the North American province of Pennsylvania.

Here he says:

“If you think twice, before speaking once, you will speak twice the better for it”

And that goes for all our communications, written or spoken.

Words can take seconds to open deep wounds, and years to try to heal them. They are powerful weapons.

I guess we’ve arrived back at being kind again really.

I hope everyone has a good day today.

That’s a very good quote and one we all perhaps need to think about from time to time.

Be kind to each other and to ourselves.

Have a really good day Callendersgal and everyone on this great forum. Xxxx

I've been for a short bike ride in this lovely weather. Waiting for my mum to drop off my EMLA Cream ready for my blood test on Wednesday morning

I watched the first episode of QUIZ on Easter Monday (about the true story of Major Charles Ingram who fraudulently attempted to win a cool million on Who wants to be a Millionaire. The second episode is going to be the good one - the infamous Millionaire show -. Wednesday night is the final episode So looking forward to it

Does anyone remember the . Original famous Who wants to be a Millionaire show? It was on 9/9/2001

Sounds like a perfect day for a BIKE ride Sara_2611, and a great way to start the day.

I did watch 'Quiz', last night. I'd almost forgotten about that scandal and didn't see much of it because I was living outside the UK. For the same reason I didn't see the UK version of 'Who wants to be a millionaire' and had to make do with the US version, but it was very good too. Just that lots of the questions were leaning towards US contestants and audiences, so not so easy to join in at home. The other thing I remember is that the show did give away quite a lot of one million prizes, by comparison with the UK show. I believe Charles Ingram has always maintained he was innocent. What do you think?

He's as guilty as hell Even Chris Tarrant still says so when he was interviewed on This Morning & "I agree.

I remember while I was watching the original episode first time round I could tell the difference between people genuinely coughing (as they do) & the coughing done by that pratt Tecwin Whittock.

If you go on you tube & type in Major Fraud. Martin, Bashir presents a documentary about it & it plays the show minus soundtrack (the one which was shown to the court) so all coughing could be clearly heard

My mum tends to get on my nerves because during the course of the day she finds a reason to phone me - What is behind it though is checking up to see whether I'm in & not out bike riding or horseriding.. She phoned me this afternoon too but thankfully it was before I went out for one

I checked my phone after my ride to see whether she d phoned again Thankfully she didnt

I've got my EMLA Cream now ready for my blood test tomorrow
