I was shocked 😮 even disgusted by lack of basic understanding AND guess suffering ThOSE with Dementia Alzheimer’s must go though.

All Dementia Alzheimer’s suffers will suffer light chain disease THAT effects every organ

Well unless celebrities or pay for treatment.

If you had the lung condition CF or bronchiectasis would you be happy nothing is done WELL that’s just one issues Alzheimer’s Dementia suffers suffer THAT know one as talked about LET alone any medical professional.

Next time your at hospital with UTI that’s not really UTI and chest infection JUST ask medical professional what’s being done about he’s / her light chain diease and all these so called infection’s

Hi JAS,

I really do hope the situation isn't as bad as the scenario you've given us, and that it's not quite that bleak for the majority of those who suffer with any form of dementia. I do know that you've had to really fight your dad's corner in all sorts of ways and you've done marvels for any shortcomings in health care he might otherwise have suffered.

It is quite a challenge for not only the health profession but also for carers to have to flag up potential health issues in someone whose mental capacity is reduced. I must say that I live in a health authority area which is quite switched on to all health needs of those with dementia, so perhaps I'm really lucky.

Light chain deposition disease itself is relatively rare, so I suppose it's not going to affect either the public in general, or dementia sufferers especially, in huge numbers.

My brother-in-law died of this, being one of the unlucky ones who didn't respond well to his treatment, and I must say it also took a little while for his diagnosis to become clear, even though he didn't have dementia.

Your post is a reminder that it is a big challenge to spot all things that are potentially going wrong in the one you care for, when they can no longer articulate the way they are feeling. Being vigilant is one more duty which the carer has, and it's something you do very well.

I do hope that both you and your dad are coping OK with all of your health challenges at the moment.

Best wishes.

Hi Callendersgal thanks for reply I wish was not as horrord as I say BUT Alzheimer’s Dementia is light chain diease WHERE Proteins plasma jam up everything and cause disfuntiion

For five years have been looking at my own medical condition and dad’s AND looks like I have lot in common with my dad EVEN down to light chain dieases

That blood smear picture is my blood FOR years have been trying to teases out of doctors WHY my blood as heavy light chains init

But as dad’s condition advances and more is disclosed so is mine .. More is known and can research

Something’s wish had not read BUT Is advances being made of only people would question ask more.

Next time my dad’s in hospital am going to ask them what the doing to ease my dad’s light chain diease

And if he looks at me like am thick AM going to ask about he’s kera something level and plasma and hyperviscosaty syndrome.

I can’t remember name of protein AS my post with UTI mention with name of what was going to ask as been edited like my picture

Was not keratin was kensen or something clearly WAS not liked.
