My OH has just been granted Continuing Care joint funding. Hopefully the letter will give an overview of what we can now access practically speaking but just wondering if there is anyone who has this and what difference it has made to their situation/caring responsibilities.

Continuing Care
Hi Bella395,
Sorry I'm completely clueless about Continuing Care from a personal point of view, but just wanted to say that's good news and I hope it makes a positive difference for you.
Thank you. I will hopefully learn more when the letter arrives. I applied for it because if I die suddenly or can no longer be a carer, he would need to be taken into a care home and I know that he has medical needs that are above that which residential care can provide. It is a relief to know that the panel agreed.
I am totally clueless on these situations as well
Good morning
I care for my mum who is 90. I’ve just acquired the app( new member) I’m interested to know what you are referring to ... OH ??
Hi annenewton1,
A really warm welcome to you on joining this forum. I read this as 'other half', or husband. I'm sure Bella395 will let me know if I've got it wrong. I hope you'll find us a helpful group of people. We certainly try to be. Very best wishes to both you and your mum.
