With each week that passes now there is a noticeable increase in daylight and Spring is slowly on the way. I am looking forward to those longer and warmer days.
What is it that the new season makes you think of? Does it put a spring in your step? Make you think of spring cleaning - or de-cluttering as they call it now? Maybe in your garden or in the park you have already seen the first flowers of the new season?
Hope you have all had an okay week. Please let us know what’s happening.
Best Wishes

It’s such a lovely day here today and we’ve been out. We actually saw a butterfly which was nice.
I like the lighter evenings and nice weather and hope the warmth eases my back pain. Pete is doing ok but could be better. My mother in law is on end of life care now so sad news.
I just want to pass on my commiserations on your sad news about your mother-in-law. It's a very tough thing. But happy for you that Pete's doing OK, even if not brilliantly. At least the weather's been a tiny consolation. Good wishes to you all and have a good weekend too. x
Haven't the past couple of days been wonderful? It's amazing how the mood of people generally seems to improve along with the weather, and a tiny bit of post-winter warmth. It shows that actually we can be happy and content with the slightest improvement in things.
I think I'm looking forward to a general 'greening up' of everything in nature, especially the trees. I actually love the stark darkness of bare branches in the winter, but I also love the lush exuberant way in which they eventually burst into life to reassure us that winter's really over for a while.
I've been up and down this week, with ongoing pain from a tooth extraction from a couple of weeks ago, so back and forth to the dentist. Then my husband isn't well and to top it all off some of the plumbing's gone wonky and needs a plumber. Just as well we have little treats like a warm day or two to cheer us up.
Hope everyone has been coping OK this week and enjoying the springlike weather.
Copy that with the weather improving your mood. What a lovely couple of days it's been, and my hubby and I managed to get some garden jobs done as he's had a week off. Our miniature iris and crocuses are bursting out, encouraged no doubt by the lovely warm sunshine, and I saw my first blue tit! So sorry Sassy59 about your mother-in-law's diagnosis. So sad for you all. Mom continues to hold her own even though more pressure sores have developed. We are continuing to turn her regularly, but her skin is deteriorating, especially now she is confined to bed. Have sent her shower chair back as it will no longer be safe to use, so its bed bathing now! I did move her bed towards the window over the last couple of days so she could see the glorious view on the few occasions she opened her eyes. I thought the sight of sunshine shining on the hills would perk her up a bit, and to be honest she's eaten better over the last day or so?? Best to all and enjoy the weather while we have it.
When my late Dad took to his bed, by choice...my Mom having died 3 months previously, I bought a sheepskin for him, to ease the bed sores. Sadly, he died a week later. I have it on the floor, in my bungalow now.
Ah thats a nice way to remember him. When mom eventually departs I have saved all her pretty nighties and tops and am going to make a rag rug of them all. She has a sheepskin pillow that I got her ages ago, but her mattress is one that ripples and we aren't able to put anything under her, other than a sheet.
