I know you always have your dad's welfare at the heart of considering the best way forward for him, and it sounds much more comfortable for both you and your dad to be back at home. It would have been a really heavy burden for you to arrange constant hospital appointments given your own health issues.
You can only do what's possible and I know you always do the very best that you can for your dad. You are a very dedicated carer.
So best wishes to you for continuing strength and fortitude in dealing with whatever comes next, and best wishes to your dad too.

Hi Callendersgal Hospital could not even get dad home today HOSPITAL transport vanished SO will be tomorrow now.

What a stressful time for you. I am concerned about how you are going to manage to look after your dad at home. Also, why have they taken him off insulin, is he no longer diagnosed as a diabetic? Why have they not made any provisions to manage his potential hypos, this does not seem satisfactory to me? Definitely push for the consultation to fully understand what is happening with your dad, and what his medical team are going to do.
It is important to take care of your own health and wellbeing. Take a look at these web links below, to give you some food for thought in considering practical help at home. Ask for an urgent social service needs assessment for both you and your dad, and get a care package put in place.
Hi MAS_Nurse you would not believe issues had with social workers and so called care package needs assessment.
My dad and me use to have needs assessment THEN some social worker dropped mine even tho I was on full pip.
Anyway after long battle and help from this forum and solicitor we talked to on here council fixed there ways.
Yer dadās fully diabetic been on jab for just under year I canāt really understand why he was not on it in hospital ONLY thing said was dadās going to suffer lot of hypoglycaemia and doctors are going to have to monitor him carefully.
I know dadās not been eating right good but district nurse said he should never go with out insulin but saying that dad as pills as well.
I surspect heās kidney are not processing insulin anymore HOW why I donāt really know BUT the think he as cancer.
Good morning JAS, or maybe not such a "good" one when I read about the continuation if lack of care/information from hospitals, doctors etc. The BLF nurse who replied to you is quite right as are you.....how is dad meant to deal with any hypos if there's no insulin for him. This puts a huge, strain on both of you and I just hope you are able to get the help dad needs and also keep your medical issues treated. You are a total star!
Hi SquirrelHolt donāt know about why said is no longer on insulin just said is not anymore and as not all time in hospital.
Something happens to dad two weeks ago just woke up could not feed him self and seeing things thatās why wanted doc to do ecg to see if heās Heart failure was playing up or if was infection.
We got nothing till dad went hospital THE saying with cancer n test this quality of life issues
Guess that says it all really BUT am hoping discharge will Letter will give us idea
