I was working in an area with bad WiFi so had to go to a bank to do some online banking, the cashier gave me a larger card reader than the normal size, I commented it was much easier io use and (I'm not 60 yet) but the cashier said "yes a lot of older people like them" I just smiled!! And emailed the bank to ask if I can have one!!😀
I thought I'd share my story and hope it made you smile as apparently 70 is the new 50 and age is just a number after all!!

It's a bit sobering to find yourself firmly placed among the 'old folk' by the younger generation, isn't it? Especially when you are still only a work in progress at 50something. Happily you had a good sense of humour about your experience. I think one of my worst experiences was on the phone. I was calling one of the big six energy companies I'd just opened an account with, and the customer service rep, (bless her), said "R-e-a-l-l-y? How m-a-r-v-e-l-l-o-u-s!", when I explained I'd changed energy provider online with no-one else's help. OK I am 70 already, but please give me the benefit of the doubt for a little longer!
Just been and had eye test and great news, my next test in two years will be free!!! Woohoo, with age comes benefits! Unfortunately my reading glasses have got to be changed so my credit card has taken a hammering, but I have had some coloured frames which are really fun. May we all have many more fun filled, not acting our age years!
