Welcome to you Juhaina, I would see if Citizens Advice can help or check on the Gov.uk website for information.

I hope you get the help you need. Xxx

All the information about Carer's Allowance is here:

gov.uk/carers-allowance

Your husband needs to be in receipt of middle or higher rate PIP/DLA to qualify for someone to claim CA for him.

Hi Juhaina

First of all a very warm welcome to the Care Community.

I see that you've had some replies already to your query and I think it probably is the case that you will have to check the rules yourself as sassy59 and Bella395 have said. It's fairly simply set out on the govuk website, but if you are still in doubt, I'd definitely say you should ask for help from your nearest Citizens Advice Bureau. They can tell you the rules and, if you are eligible, will even help you to apply for that benefit.

Very best wishes.

Follow advice above and seek help to fill in the forms as it can be quite difficult especially in mental health cases. Best wishes with your claim
