Hi my mother 84 has vascular dementia , my dad 86 walking problems and has bladder cancer I 62 female married work full time, if I left work to care for my parents would I be eligible for careers allowance and if so where would I go to find out about it all please, I have never claimed anything before and have always worked,

You need to be very careful with this. I think you will find that once you reach retirement age, you cannot claim allowances, it is assumed that you have all the time in the world to do these things for free. This might not be quite correct but phone 'Care for the Carers' and ask them. They can also give you lots of other advice.

As per the comments below, your best starting point is to speak to your Local Authority and request a carer's assessment.
