Over a year ago I had blocked ear wax in both ears had them suctioned , left ear in a lot of pain and Tinnitus as a result... now only a year later my left ear is BLOCKED again ,terrible tinnitus, not completely deaf but muffled, I DARE not put anything else in that ear. Was told the NHS doesn't do syringing anymore, I'm being refffered to community Health hopefully for suction , but I'm worried this will damage my ear drum If i keeep on hhavong to get this done. What the HELL is wrong with my ears that they don not clean themselves as normal, HOW can AVOID excessive ear WAx? Feel utterly depressed that I will never get out of this cycle of blocked WAX/TINNITUS... its hell

Your Majesty - that’s just how it is! My ears get blocked about once every two years. I have them suctioned. The audiologist said not to put anything into the ear to help the wax. My doc says to use sodium bicarbonate drops.

You do sound really distressed about it . Why not book an appointment with the ent clinic and chat to them about things . Your not alone you know. A lot of us are feeling blocked , with tinnitus and in my case dizzy spells as well. It is quite a debilitating condition with little help. 😊

I ended up paying to see a private ent specialist for quickness. I then transferred back to the NHS . You can do that. You have to get it okayed by your gp

You can buy a product called Otosan spray, I believe there are ear drops too, all natural ingredients, regular use is supposed to keep the ears clean and get rid of excess wax. You can read the reviews on Amazon, most are very good. I’ve used it it doesn’t make tinnitus worse.

Have you been pleased with this spray . Does it clear out the wax? Can you buy this spray over the counter .

Yes, it’s over the counter, it has very good reviews on Amazon. I don’t have a problem with ear wax, I was getting an itchy ear, inside the canal, and it sorted that out. But people that have had problems with ear wax say it’s very good. Have a look at the reviews. They say if you use it all the time you won’t have wax issues, it’s basically tea tree oil, aloe Vera and calendula, all natural ingredients.

I didn’t find that Otosan spray did anything for my ear wax. But of course it might for yours!
