Does wine dry you out?

Also does anyone notice trouble breathing with dry cough when high humidity and barometric pressure?

Yes I have to increase my breathing exercises in those conditions to mobilise the mucous.

Re wine: in general significant amounts can provoke an inflammatory reaction in the lungs, which might increase mucous production or alternatively seal up some of the pathways meaning the mucous can't be ejected.
