Did he offer you the Hib vaccination? A course of antibiotics should clear up your current infection with HI. My understanding is that people without Bronchiectasis can live with it and it wouldn’t cause them any problems.
No offer of hib vaccination, but because I've had numerous courses of antibiotics that weren't appropriate for the bug concerned my locum Dr thinks I maybe colonised, I know from past experience that it took good course of amoxiclav to clear, fingers crossed, I think I'll give my secretary at the hospital a call on Monday many thanks
U can be immunized.my most recent confirmed hib pneumonia infection made me VERY ill,gp wanted me in hospital but i fought thro it at home, foolishly.it took 12 wks of antibiotics+ steroids to clear it. It hammered me + I've struggled ever since.hope yr antibiotics shift it.id talk to insurance company, tell thm it's in yr sputum but yr symptom free.gd luck x
