My sputum samples keep showing haemophilus influenza, have bronchiectasis, feeling fine at the moment but new Dr at surgery says my travel insurance is invalid if I fly, does anyone know anything about travelling with this?

Did he offer you the Hib vaccination? A course of antibiotics should clear up your current infection with HI. My understanding is that people without Bronchiectasis can live with it and it wouldn’t cause them any problems.

No offer of hib vaccination, but because I've had numerous courses of antibiotics that weren't appropriate for the bug concerned my locum Dr thinks I maybe colonised, I know from past experience that it took good course of amoxiclav to clear, fingers crossed, I think I'll give my secretary at the hospital a call on Monday many thanks

I think that would be a very good idea. Good luck.
