Hi,I'm going to be given a nebuliser by the respiratory team at the local hospital,my question is does it clear the congestion well? I'm already on Carbocisteine and use an acapella but there always seems to be congestion left that I can't move myself

Nebuliser for Bronchiectasis
Yes it does help.i use salbutamol followed by hypertonic saline.do u use acbt, huffing, postural drainage techniques?
Hi, I do the acbt and huffing but I have to admit I don't seem to manage well with it, I use Salbutamol alongside other inhalers as I have asthma too, so I'm hoping the nebuliser will help greatly
I've been using a nebulizer for bronch for 6 + years I find it does help You lucky as I had to purchase my nebulizer
I found the saline solution made me cough and cough when I first started on it but after a short while I got used to it. I have had less flare ups since using it along with all the other meds
Good luck
I use, muchoclear ti clear mucus from my lungs and throat , it is excellent but use only after salbutomol inhailers through the machine and about 20mins after never at the same time xx
