Suspicious mole, sudden appearance?

In addition to the post I made recently about a patch of red/scaly skin on my lower leg, around a month ago I developed a mole (?) on my ankle that definitely wasn't there before. My ankle is aching when I put pressure on that side. I've attached a picture, would welcome your thoughts. I'm seeing my GP in a few weeks to follow-up my patch, should I try to go sooner?

I would say yes, try to get earlier appt and stress to any gatekeeper reception staff that it's because of sudden mole appearance as it should be taken seriously.
