Hi, I had the same symptoms after my Gall bladder removal, went on the Internet forums and they were reffering to them as spasms and they seemed to be saying they were normal. Well in my case after about a year of suffering and ignoring the advice of my wife and my gp I eventually became Jaundiced and the pain was there 24/7, I ended up in hospital with a stone in my bile duct in the liver and they removed it via an endoscopy, there is a name for the procedure but I cannot remember it. This I must stress is my case history, not every one is the same but I would certainly go to the GP, I do not myself think it is normal. I wish you all the best, ps the pain happened about 2/3 hrs after eating.
