as obesity caused your condition, this condition needs to be addressed first

Hi Markblue1960 and Nieto

Not all nafld is caused by being obese, and can be infulenced by diabetes, hyperlipidemia and other medical conditions and even some medications.

In terms of treating NAFLD there is no specific treatment for it however you're right to be looking at your diet. The most important thing to do though is to make sure you are getting exercise, even if it is just walking to the shops, start building up your activity. Eating plenty of fruits and vegtables and avoid refined suguars and saturated fats.

I recommend you take a look at our Diet and liver disease publication: britishlivertrust.org.uk/ho...

as well as our updated fatty liver disease publication. If you would like any of these to be delivered in hard copy to you please do not hesitate to order them from our website.

I hope this has been some help, do reply if you have any further questions. I hope you are feeling well.
