hi sorry this might be long message I was candidiasis of the oesophagus and given I am antibiotics for it which cleared it up, but they also found that I had gastritis an duodenitis both of which has been treated and I feel much better my came back normal had a full blood count and it was normal. My liver function test only thing my cholesterol which was six but for some reason my doctor decided to send me for an ultrasound of my I don’t know why, but I’m glad she did. The ultrasound came back a moderate fatty liver. The size of was normal. My spleen is not enlarged measuring 10 cm directional noted in the portal no ascites or collaterals seen stones or billary tracked obstruction normal appearances of the pancreas aorta and both kidneys the impression was moderate fatty liver. So the GP saw me and basically told I had a non-alcoholic fatty liver and obviously change of diet and lose weight and exercise exercise would help this was in the beginning January. I have lost since then but I was sent for an blood test that has come back at 11 so they’re referring me to hepatology still waiting to hear from them. I’ll see if this the life out of me because I did Dr Google which I shouldn’t do and I just can’t understand that why all my other tests are coming is coming back high and saying it could be scared the hell out of I’m only 55 and I wouldn’t be around for the next 20 two young children who are 8 year old twins i’ll drink about 2 L of have done. I fell off the wagon for one night and had a little bit what I wanted to eat and two glasses of wine but then straight back onto my diet. I just wondered if anybody else has experience this and if it’s or whether it’s just what they initially said a moderate fatty liver and which I can see reverse when you look at my GP records they’ve actually my last results of my ELS as a minor and your advice would be helpful while I’m waiting to hear from the consultant. I haven’t told anybody from my husband find myself crying a lot because I’m so scared because I’m so scared.

Hi- I am in the US and have different issues- but wanted to encourage you. I was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) 2002, and they suspected primary biliary Cholangitis (PBC) then but after removing my gallbladder a couple of years later I was able to reduce immunosuppressant medication and had a little bit of “almost “ remission. I was originally diagnosed only after being misdiagnosed for several years with Crohn’s and then liver disease. I didn’t h have cirrhosis but was in full liver failure when I ended up in an ER where we have a liver clinic. That was 23 years ago. I was subsequently diagnosed with numerous autoimmune diseases and then in 2020 the diagnosis of overlapping PBC on the AIH was confirmed. Prednisone failed to control the AIH and had to start Tacrolimus which I was on several years and now off for a year after getting aggressive squamous precancers which is a common side effect of the medication. I still have to be on prednisone for other issues so now after 6 months of my liver numbers climbing they believe fatty liver is now possibly an added diagnosis. My point is… I’m still here- by the grace of God. I discovered this year that my muscles were wasting and after genetic testing discovered causes that aren’t curable but can be slowed/ improved through dietary changes. It is an uphill climb- but don’t let the fear of “what if’s” keep you from doing what you can. We can’t control disease or genetics but we can control what we eat, drink or don’t eat or drink. We can cherish every day and be thankful for what we do have. We can seek for deeper meaning in our lives. When I was diagnosed, my youngest was 2- and he is adopted, is now 25 but has autism and still needs me… so focus on what you can do to be as healthy as possible. Only God knows our “expiration date”. Blessings to you in the days ahead!
