Private Fibroscan Lincolnshire?

Evening Guys,

Im worried about my liver health after a few years of heavy partying with I was younger. Discussing things with my GP at the end of the month, but would like to get myself scanned with a fibroscan. Im really stuggling to find anything near me, and would much appreciate someone pointing me in the right direction.

Thanks.

Hi there. I don’t know of anywhere in Lincolnshire but I can highly recommend a private Liver/PBC specialist in London who does the Fibroscan himself and discusses the results straight away, so no follow up appointment then needed. And it’s self referral. Let me know and I can send you his details.

I also went to the London Clinic on Harley Street. I saw Dr Kallis who was able to do the Fibroscan himself and go over the results. I took copies of all the blood work I had previously done but also did new blood work. Definitely worth it cost wise to get answers and peace of mind. 020 7616 7719

I went to the London Clinic and had full bloods, Fibroscan, and a consultation. Put my mind at ease.

How much were you drinking? Most of the time people worry over nothing, it usually takes more than a few years to cause damage.

A lot between the ages of 18-22. Not sure how much, but a big night out at least once a week. Drugs and Alcohol mixed often which can be a lot more damaging than alcohol alone. Had a big 3-4 year break, never touched drugs again, then continued drinking moderately most (but not all) weekends (bottle of wine roughly, sometimes more, sometimes less)for mabye 5-6 years until roughly a year ago.

Bloods are admittedly normal, but only started having bloods in the last 7 years, nothing prior to that in my NHS history app. These were for various other reasons but included a Liver panel, always great. My concern is not my recent drinking, just the prior with drug use.

However, on bloods, I noticed my Platelets are 172 (have been the same for the last 7 years of blood tests), and my Uric Acid is low (apparently a VERY uncommon finding) which Google suggests can be severe liver damage.

Hi, I had a private fibroscan, April last year, at The Manor Hospital Oxford. I live in Derby and Oxford was the nearest place I could find to me.
