Hi, has anyone ever suffered from Hepatic Myelopathy? It's a rare spinal neurological complication of chronic liver disease that causes progressive weakness and spasticity in the lower limbs.

Hepatic Myelopathy

Dear John56362,
If you are in the UK and would find it useful to talk things over, our nurse-led helpline is open Monday 9am to 3pm and Tuesday to Friday 9am to 4pm on 0800 652 7330 excluding bank holidays.
We also facilitate a range of virtual support groups for people in the UK living with a liver condition (and their families and carers). If you would find it helpful to speak to others with shared experience, you can register to join a group here:

I have what was diagnosed as small fibre neuropathy, by a private neurologist, as I have ongoing issues with numb patches on my legs, burning/shock pain in my feet, numbness and pain in my hands/wrists. This has been ongoing for 15 years and has been gradually getting worse over time.
How was it diagnosed? My head/spine MRIs always came back clear of any damage, did show some small disc bulges, etc. but nothing impinging on nerves in the right areas to explain the symptoms.
