I came out of hospital 3 weeks ago after being admitted 10 ngts with A-hepatitis.
Yesterday, I thought I just tripped. But thinking back, I think I collapsed for no reason. I was at work heading for my car to drive home, but just fell & did not break my fall. Hitting me straight on the side of my face. Nobody saw it. Until I was on the floor. I was a bit disorientated & wobbly after, but my pride was worse hit.
Anybody else experience this. I have noticed, I sort of stagger a bit, but get upright again.
Please let me know if you have experienced anything like this, or am I now being paranoid...
Thank-you

I dont no about A-hepatitis. but when i first went yellow with liver disease mine was through drink l started to collapse like you straight on my face complete blank it happened about 6 times to me its when your liver cant get rid of the toxins in your body like ammonia its get into your bloodstream and goes to your brain its called HE hepatic encephalopathy i was put on Regular use of lactulose and rifaximin and it worked ask the doctors but do it soon because if it is it will happen again if it is HE and you just might bang your head better to be safe then sorry hope this helps Lon
I am sort of concerned that this is the 2nd 'collapse' you've reported on here ........ one 3 years ago and now this episode plus obviously having recently had another bout of alcohol related hepatitis that no doctor has mentioned the fact you are still driving. Alcohol related liver disease and it's accompanying systems are DVLA notifiable conditions and absences or collapses certainly are a concern if you are getting behind the wheel.
When my hubby was first diagnosed with cirrhosis he knew his reaction times and slow movement etc. made him a liability behind the wheel, a later diagnosis of mild and then more advance Hepatic Encephalopathy made that a certainty.
This is something you need to discuss with your doctor and for public safety do not get behind the wheel until you have been checked out.
I had similar, saw GP did checks for vertigo then advised A*E for a Brain Scan. All OK, recommended ENT for substantial checks. Then on to Audiology who prescribed.v specific excersises to tackle my instability. This worked wonders and after 2 months back to normal although I still carry on with excersises.
Prior to all this I fell down unexpectedly on the road and in driveway.
Hydration is very important! For a while I was getting the most awful bp Either sky high, or way down low! had stents in the heart and such things and all is relatively stable w new drugs. Move on in time I now have cancer stage four from bowel to lung and liver. Lately, I occasionally fall. Last week, I had to convince them that I had in fact fallen over something. Whatever, please speak to your doctor, it might be something innocent or sinister! The worst thing was, this time, I could not get up. I know this is off topic, but please ask a physio to show you how to get up! Btw, O boy, do I stagger!
