Hi. Recently diagnosed with Nafld, my LFTs were normal and told pre-diabetic. I've cut out all the sugar and cook only healthy ingredients from scratch. I've started walking a great deal and lost 6kg in 4 weeks ( was 92kg). My downfall is alcohol but I've managed to start cutting that down too from 5 nights (yes 5!) to around 3 nights and stopped drinking the strong Belgian beer. So far so good but I feel I should be doing more.

If you could get rid of the booze too your liver would thank you for it. The BLT has some good publications on NAFLD which might be of use to you but it sounds like you are going the right direction and it's positive that your bloods are showing no signs of major concern.

All the best, Katie
Many thanks for your advice Katie
Were your Drs aware of your drinking habits ? I would expect most Drs to tell you to cut out the booze whilst they are investigating your Liver.
0 booze would be better untl you can resolve the fatty Liver.
Just told to cut down on booze by GP
If you are still drinking alcohol you havent cut out sugar btw!! It has very high sugar content too .......Wishing you all the very best in making the changes, keep going!
